VEGAS Pro constantly crashes

I can hardly run it five minutes while editing without a crash.

I actually fixed it late last night! Not sure what worked.

1) I followed the advice to turn OFF the GPU acceleration in Vegas Pro:
Options>Preferences>Video>GPU Acceleration of Video Processing: OFF

2) I also cleared Windows Start Up of virtually everything. I was surprised at how much was on there. I followed these instructions for Windows 10:
