Vegas Pro Edit 17.0 ERROR -2147163964 attempting to reinstall

So I tried starting up Vegas Pro Edit 17.0 one day and found that it kept giving me "Entry Point Not Found" errors whenever I started it up. Noticing that there's been some updates to Vegas Pro 17.0, I downloaded the new version of 17 on the message board, and tried running the installer. I keep getting ERROR -2147163964.

I followed all the steps on the support page https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/support/article/error-download-is-corrupt-or-2147163964--707/ but nothing worked. I have A TON of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables and .NET Framework 4.8, and I reinstalled the components and followed all the steps (to a sane degree, I'm not about to restart my computer 13 times to get this $600 masterwork of video software to run, because that's the number of VC++ Redistributables I have.) So if there's any indication of exactly what .Net Framework runtime libraries and VC++ Redistributable of the correct year, version, make, language, place, species, and blood type to get this piece of software to properly run and/or install, I would greatly appreciate that.

This is a Windows 10 machine, completely up-to-date on all Windows Updates. If necessary, I can post my HWINFO print out or DxDiag thing if that'll somehow give people more insight to exactly what I need to do here.

also it gets to this point before it decides it needs to roll back. This weird string pops up for a split-second before that happens.

And I managed to find the SCS_INSTALLER logs, if that'll give any more insight: https://pastebin.pl/view/c32f33ed

Thank you!

There was a Microsoft update that broke the 2015-2019 C++ installation for some users. I'm sure that is what VP17 uses. Try repairing them all.

See especially points 6 and 7 here. Since you say it stopped working "one day," this is worth a try.

If, as happened to me, a Windows update broke during installation and won't let you roll forward or back, a full restoration to an earlier system image will be necessary.

Tried that already (as stated in my first post.) Just for completion's sake, I repaired my install of the C++ redist, which, same as before, didn't produce a Vegas Pro installation.

The linked post there did also mention using registry cleaning, which picked up a few leftover keys from Vegas after removal, but that didn't really seem to solve anything either.

If, as happened to me, a Windows update broke during installation and won't let you roll forward or back, a full restoration to an earlier system image will be necessary.

I had an update 'break' during installation but the reason for that was because my primary drive didn't have enough disk space to complete the update (SSD with limited space). Aside from not being able to use Vegas Pro 17 there isn't anything wrong with my system.

I will note that I am unable to roll back, but the reason given says "This option is no longer available because your PC was updated more than 10 days ago".

Yes, if you don't have a complete system image to install, I don't know how to advise, except the nuclear option. You haven't installed any codec "packs," have you?

Ok after doing the repair on ALL C++ Redistributables, it made it through the installation process. Thanks!

Feel free to mark one of the replies as the Solution, if you wish.
