VFR video rendering: an "original framerate" option for media/project?

Sylk wrote on 9/7/2019, 1:03 AM

Is it possible to keep the original (variable) framerate from each imported media rather than define the entire project as a constant framerate ?

And render each frame as the original frame ?

The ghostframes that the conversion create is not always desireable.

turn off resampling to get rid of the ghost frames... as for VFR export, vegas itself doesn't support it that I know of. there aren't any monitors/screens I'm aware of (other than gaming monitors) that display in VFR, so some conversion is going to have to take place at some point.

To export VFR, use Handbrake.

VFR is just a space saving trick for playback files, and difficult for editors. I don't use it either place.

The reason why i used it. Awaiting for freeing space.

About Handrake, no thank. I don't want to create VFR. I edit and join imported VFR files in Vegas.

Already did it, but not render since my last try, so i was not sure if due to resampling or some interpolation.

Ghostframe issue was badly exposed with this title, but you solve it. Thanks.
