video image not showing up

After the latest major Movie Studio 16 update two days ago, the program would not show my video but only show the audio. My computer is new, Windows 11, and has plenty of RAM and also the video card has plenty to work with (INVIDIA with 10112 MB and deidcated video memory of 2048 MB GDDR5) . Prior to the Movie Studio 16 update, I was able to drop in videos of a length of 30 minutes without a hitch. After the update, the program doesn't do well at all.

There has not been an update to Vegas Movie Studio 16 in three years. The product reached its end-of-life in 2020.

If "by chance" you recently bought a copy on Amazon or elsewhere, you will need to contact that vendor for support. There is a possible question of legitimacy with third party sales.
