When I capture using my web cam from Vegas Pro, the resulting file is only 640p. But in the camera's app, I have it set to 1080p, which is what I want. I can't find any place in Vegas to change the setting. How can I get Vegas Pro to deliver a file of 1080p?

Vegas Pro 19.0 Build 550. Windows 10. From Vegas Pro: File / Vegas Capture; Webcam is Logitech Webcam C925e. Camera App is set to 1080p. Vegas Capture has no option to change the setting, but delivers a file which is 640x480. When I capture with the camera, I get HD, but when I use the same camera with Vegas Capture, I get lo rez.
I can duplicate your issue with my Logitech webcam, which is set to 1280x720 but captures 640x480. I will point the development team to your post. Thanks for reporting; it looks like a bug. I normally use OBS, which does as expected.
Thanks. At least I know I'm not going crazy. I suppose there are a dozen other options I could use to record (my desktop and myself against a green screen). But I kinda wanted a feature built into Vegas that would operate intuitively the way it was expected to. <sigh>
It's kind of a new feature; expect it to mature with future updates. Your bug has been reported to the development team.
The Product Manager has told me they are aware of the problem; unfortunately, they aren't going to be able to get to it right away.
I checked it with Vegas Stream and the capture works correctly from my Logitech; I still use OBS for all of my own captures.
