Former user wrote on 3/31/2020, 9:14 AM

Do you have a program called Typo3 installed?

AveSatanas wrote on 3/31/2020, 9:36 AM

Never heard of it, just checked and no its not present

BruceUSA wrote on 3/31/2020, 9:37 AM

Your computer is infected with virus that is why you got message like this. Its has nothing to do with Vegas.

Intel i9 Core Ultra 285K Overclocked all P Cores @5.6, all E-Cores @5ghz

I agree with BrucUSA, the error is about a program called TYPO3 and if you have not installed it, then you are infected.

Marco. wrote on 3/31/2020, 10:07 AM

It's not a virus/infection. TYPO3 is a wide spread HTML/PHP based content management system (CMS) which is used e.g. by many professional website creators and it can also be used for building any kind of cross-site information pages, like the one you'd see in this particular case.
The error message you see could be triggered by the CMS temporarely is prevented from loading another component, not a big deal.

Former user wrote on 3/31/2020, 10:17 AM

Marco may be right, but it is not just randomly loaded on your computer is it? Isn't is something you would need to install?

Marco. wrote on 3/31/2020, 10:36 AM

Typo3 is not installed on the client system, it is installed on the server where the information displayed within the page is coming from and where the page's sources are managed (just like WordPress or Joomla).

Former user wrote on 3/31/2020, 10:45 AM

So Vegas is trying to access some random website when booting or is this the Vegas site causing the issue?

Marco. wrote on 3/31/2020, 10:58 AM

Not necessarily a website, but content in any way (text, grafics, photos, video, audio). Take a look at HitFilm, HitFilm does this every time you launch the program.

BobMoyer wrote on 3/31/2020, 11:53 AM

@Marco.

You have explained this very well, but how does one correct this?

Marco. wrote on 3/31/2020, 12:36 PM

Not sure, if it was a temporarely server failure then the end user could do noting but wait. But it also may be some kind of network thingy on the end user's system, a fire wall, a virus scanner, anything which pretends content from an external server to be loaded properly.

BobMoyer wrote on 3/31/2020, 1:47 PM

Thank you. The OP's inference that this was a Vegas problem then was totally incorrect?

Marco. wrote on 3/31/2020, 2:42 PM

Maybe even Vegas Pro blocked loading the contnent but I think it's unlikely due to a virus.

AveSatanas wrote on 3/31/2020, 5:46 PM

So at the end of the day its not a virus?

AveSatanas wrote on 3/31/2020, 6:20 PM

Just some failure to load text?, it just seems weird that it implies to donate and has all this garbage - I knew it wouldnt be a virus to be honest

Musicvid wrote on 3/31/2020, 6:23 PM

You might ask Magix what, if anything, is the Typo3 service being used for, and show them the error.

fifonik wrote on 3/31/2020, 9:08 PM

I'd expect this is local virus or MITM (Man-in-the-middle) substitute something instead of requested page.

Some ISPs can do this even when you requesting page over HTTPS (MITM).

Sure, this also might be the Magix backend issue (as @Musicvid suggested), but in this case I'd expect more people here noticed this.

Former user wrote on 4/1/2020, 1:19 AM

If you go to vegas website and click source it shows typo3. It's likely nothing to worry about
