Wouldn't matter too much as the forum software would re-encode the uploaded video anyway. Keep it small. I usuallly use AVC wrapped in MP4. So a Magix AVC Internet template works fine.

Since my 1080p uploads don't always make it past server congestion, I often use 720p.
