XAVC-S Maximum data rate rendered file

Hello,

I have sony vegas platinum 11. I adjust the project settings to 1920 by 1080 50 double Pal. I then get the render output settings which read HD 1920 by 1080-50P and it says use this template for maximum quality. it says it renders at 26 mega bites a second. I check the custom settings and I cannot render higher than 26. I render a 35 minute file and I check file properties and it says the data rate which reads 21369kbps which i believe is just over 21 mega bites a second. Is this the maximum rate or could it be higher. Thanks

That's it. It is a fixed format.

OK thanks I was just checking because I have an older version of vegas and I wanted to make sure I was getting the highest quality possible and I must say the picture quality is superb. 1080p will do me just fine, im not really interested in 4K.

With your standard definition tape source, that's not going to be a problem. XAVC-S is major overkill already. But it's great for your HD.
