Well, the update is the that I was given the name of the projector that is going to be used. It is the Christie 10000 which is ONLY 1080! So, things become very simple now. I simply produce a 1920x800 and everything is fine. Sorry for the misinformation.

No problem, it was an interesting discussion for the most part.

And once again, we learn from it, which questions we should ask first and should answer.
But nonetheless, it was a really interesting topic.

I did ask right the question, I was just given the wrong information. There is a difference.

So I'm not misunderstood - that was under no circumstances criticism, but rather self-reflection. ;-))))))

I would like to submit a policy proposal for peer review.

When preparing for that big showing of your work, the most important question to ask and have answered to an absolute certainty is:

"1) Do you know the native resolution of the projector at this venue?"

I was a musician long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away and am very familiar with performance anxiety. I also spent 39 years trying to prevent and sometimes dealing with things gone terribly wrong:

Without adding another brick to your load, my first effort at finding the specs for the "Christie 10000" projector produced results that gave me pause.

I was able to find a model that had FHD resolution but the model number is different.

See my performance anxiety coming out and I don't even have a big show date looming.
