An imported video won't play fully? (Sony Vegas 14)

Hello everyone! I'm operating a Windows 10 HP Pavillion.

I've been trying to import this 900mb wmv file into Sony Vegas and it works! But, for some reason it stops at one frame after a certain point in the video and just plays the rest of the video as that one frame.

Also in the trimmer instead of stopping at that one frame, it just goes black after the certain point.

But I think it's because it's a huge wmv file? I've added shorter wmv files and those work, large mp4s work too (700mb) but this one just doesn't? I have a YouTube video with visuals to show what I'm talking about (sorry if my voice is annoying):

But has anyone come across this problem and know how to fix this? Thanks if you do!

Your voice in not annoying, but the plosives caused by being too close to the mic capsule are. Get a screen or move back a notch.

I've never had a problem like that with wmv most likely because I've almost never have an occasion to edit wmv. The format was intended for delivery, not for editing. The file could be corrupt or Magix Vegas may just be poor at handling that type of file. I would attempt to convert it to a more edit-friendly format such as mp4. Try Handbrake for converting to .mp4 with AVC video and AAC audio.

It may be a corrupt frame inside your wmv. Convert to mp4 in Handbrake, and give that a go.
