Can a track be rendered internally at a different resolution?

Granted, rendering to 8K is definitely going to be my best case scenario here... but holy cow is that slow!

@daniel-t & I'm just curious what render format were you using for that?

Updated my signature. Hate that my old Sony forum account never imported.

I just tested using the stock MainConcept HEVC FUHD 8k template. I think it was rendering at 0.8 frames per second or something.

encode hardware HEVC via Intel or AMD, if the Magix templates won't allow that to work even via using a lower resolution then using custom to choose 8K dimensions use voukoder that does work. Encoding software 8K HEVC with an I9 CPU would be very unpleasant

@daniel-t @Former user as @Ian-mLMC suggested setting the project to,, just out of curiousity i set the project to 8192*4608 & tried setting Magix HEVC render to 8192*4608, but Magix HEVC said noo, it always jumped back to 8192*4320, .. Voukoder - top of the list - Video: project default (4:2:0 8 bit), Audio: project default did the job no prob, output file 8192*4608 👍 so thanks for that 👍 Gonna have to play with Voukoder a bit more,

Hmm, I’m definitely going to give Voukoder a look!

I’ve been really hesitant to use AMD VCE or Intel QuickSync for encoding. It’s really fast, but my tests did not find favorable quality-to-bitrate ratios like the near-perfect but much slower software encoding.

I probably need to spend some time messing around with it… I spent many years tweaking my software h264 encoding profiles.

Although it appears the topic has shifted, I'm sure you know that Track Motion works at Project resolution (although that can be worked around), and that Pan/Crop works at Media resolution, although it's not always as capable for some things.
