What GPU are you using and is GPU acceleration on?

Hi Matthias, thanks for the reply. After three reboots it started working again correctly. Maybe the RAM? I have n NVIDIA 660 with Acc off.

What format and resolution were you using for your proxy file?

For me, all I usually need is a postage stamp proxy, nothing "magnicifent."

I wasn't aware there were settings for proxy files actually. In preview or draft it's automatic. Am I missing something? I did get it working with a few reboots. Thanks

Automatic proxy generation is a new feature. And I think you can still choose.

Thank you, Marco. Didn't know it was locked in, and yet that is the format I would choose.

Agggg this is driving me nuts. First proxy creation on 4K .mov files stopped working and would throw up a random error that gave no hints as to the problem and now video footage has disappeared from the timeline. Sometimes it reappears. It does show sometimes in preview (auto), but when rendered it makes black screens. I made a video to help describe the problem. I'm having nightmares w this project.
