what is the best way to communicate with the development team?

My thought on that is that the best thing to do is start a new conversation here in the forums. I do try to keep my eyes on this, and when I miss things, others (including a great group of moderators) will surely see it and call it to my attention. I like the idea of discussing your ideas here because other users can confirm/argue/refine the idea so that it grows from the original concept. Aside from that, the only other "official" method is to send a support ticket with the request, but as has been noted, those guys are a busy group and you'll probably have better luck here. I have a large document of user feature requests that I have built from comments on this forum and I turn those into work items for the team. That's how they become implemented features.

Thanks for the feedback Gary.

Do you have any idea if the Blue-ray .iso creation bug is on the list as my ticket has been closed, thanks.

We're looking at it right now, but we have not been able to consistently repro it here, so it's a hard one to chase. Hopefully we'll get it.

Thats great news. If its any help, I get the same error messages etc on the laptop and the desktop PC, so the underlying hardware may not be the issue, and of course the other users that have the issue would have different systems also.

Actually I have the same issue. Not that I use that feature at all but it does produce the exact same error; and yes it works in VP14. Let me know if more information is needed.

Here is a little bit more. If you have VP14, rename the folder C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 15.0\bdmux to something like bdmux-vp15. Copy the same folder from VP14 over to VP15. The "you are not logged in as administrator" message will still appear unless you specifically run VP15 as administrator but the BD render will complete without error.

With regard to the Blu-ray .iso creation issue, thanks for the feedback, your Comments were helpful in resolving this.  We are able to repro this in-house and have a fix that will be in a future update.

In the meantime, OldSmoke's work around is the recommended route for current VP14 users:

"If you have VP14, rename the folder C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 15.0\bdmux to something like bdmux-vp15. Copy the same folder from VP14 over to VP15. gary-rebholz: What is the best way to communicate our enhancement requests to Magix? I'm also a software developer and our company has a website specifically for enhancements where users can vote up/down to give us their priority. Ours is called Ideation. What does Magix have? I'd like to pass along a request for AMD VCE support. Thanks.

" "The company" is listening. I (and others) try to read it all. " - thanks Gary and team.

Mr-C, so you have posted in the right place regardless of what some posted earlier. And yes its unfortunate you had no knowledge of the regular release dates for Vegas. I can see that. For future info, they tend to release new versions every year. Although its not always that way, just a general trend. Best to keep an eye on the forum for updates and news - easy to say that now right? I would also like to apologise for some of the abrupt/dismissive attitudes posted on here too. Just know we are not all like that, the forum is mostly made up of genuinely positive and knowledgeable folk willing to help when they can - including as you can see, responses from Magix themselves. Its actually one of the best forums out there, once you cancel out the noise.

Good luck which ever way you go with your NLE choice. At the end of the day, its just a tool.

Thanks Paul,

Good luck with your venture. I hate forums as a method of support and this conversation is a perfect example. At the end of the day, your company's reputation is in the hands of unpaid, self-appointed pundits. I would have posted directly to the company had I been able to find an easy route. Anyway, thanks for your gracious reply.

...I hate forums as a method of support and this conversation is a perfect example...

But once you actually asked a question (how to contact the company), rather than just complain, you got your answer quickly. We're also good at technical support here, if you ever need any of that.

Personally, I like the way this forum is shaping up, and it's awesome to see so many "old timers" actively involved. I don't think there is any comparison between Adobe and Magix. For cost alone, Premiere is $20 per month or $240 per year and you never own the license, just rent it from month to month. And in terms of versatility and functionality, I think Vegas is the superior NLE. There is nothing wrong with Vegas 14 and it is a perfectly capable editing program. I have been using it every day since August 1st and it's been great. I have Vegas 15 too, but since everything is going so smoothly with 14, I am just staying in 14 for now.
