Issue Using High FPS Video

Hi, I'm not very experienced with video editing and I'm having some trouble. I want to use 240fps footage from OBS to render in 60fps using smart re-sample. This should give me the motion blur effect I desire. However when I try to do so, the video simply plays back in slow-motion and completely de-syncs from the audio. This is not what i want to happen, I want it to play at full speed while "ghosting" the extra frames to give the motion blur effect. I've tried using other fps footage and I've found that I have the same issue with any footage over 100fps. 100fps footage plays back at 60fps just fine. My friend uses 240fps footage also and he doesn't have the same issue. He suggested that I use "k-lite" to install missing codecs which didn't solve the issue. I have used RSMB on 60fps footage in the past but I don't really like the outcome as much so no need for that suggestion. I really want some help with this and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

I think you'll find the maximum project frame rate possible in Vegas Pro is 120 fps. (Unless it changed in ver. 14 or 15.)

That's not my issue. My project frame rate is set to 60fps, as I explained. I simply wish to use 240fps video, playing at "60FPS". I dont want to render at 240fps.

I think you want to achieve 4x playback rate with .25x frame rate. You you need to adjust source as well as project and render properties. Precise math is everything. Experiment with Resample off and Auto.

Nothing I tried gave me the required result. However I found that Downgrading to Vegas 13 from 14 solved my issue completely and I can now work with 240fps video with no issue. Thanks anyways
