.mov files just quit working in VP15

I have been working with .mov files for a long time with my VP. In fact I just worked with some this morning and then this afternoon I got a .mov file and went to put it in my VP15 and there was only sound and no video. No matter what I do it won't load the video. I went back to previous stuff I had done and even finished that had .mov files in them and it now shows the media for the .mov clips are offline. What happened and what can I do to fix it.

There was no updates or anything.

Why would .mov files that I have in projects just suddenly now stop working when they worked before? Projects that I have completed and rendered and now I went back in and they don't work??????

This is a file that won't work on my VP 15. It worked a month ago but not now. It comes from a TriCaster with Advanced Edition. I hope this works for you. Thanks.

When I click on the video in the explorer the lower reads

Video:Stream attributes could not be determined The audio section is fine.

So, works fine in Vegas 16, but not in 14 or in quicktime player or windows 10 player. Seems like a missing codec as you suggested. Will have a tinker....

After I saw that it did not work for you in 14, and you thought a codec will work, I went and tried the NewTek codecs on their site. It now works. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for getting my brain going.

Yep, just downloaded the NewTek codec and Vegas 14 works too. Welcome. :)
