The orchestra and triangle player performances are great, but the connection between those performances and the product being advertised is so obscure to make it ineffective (IMO).

GEICO. I didn’t look. I probably remembered it because they have a reputation for absurd commercials.

The commercial that I absolutely hate is the WIX one on the Internet that starts “You need a web site”. I really don’t need a web site and I hoover over the area where the skip button is going to be.

I find myself turning off the triangle commercial because the sound gets annoying after 10 seconds.

Ha! My mate is here next to me finalizing his website using WIX. We were talking about that advert yesterday because it's etched on both our consciences by now (but fading on mine since I hypocritically installed Adblock Plus). They must have thrown big bucks at Adwords to get it so widespread. But they sold the product to him! And he loves it.

I don't have a favorite commercial, but I've been increasingly impressed with the digital shorts that SNL is doing. The latest one, with Ryan Gosling, Papyrus, is very well done. The color palette, acting, audio, and editing are all very well done. For editing alone, I am impressed with the pacing and concise editing. Every shot serves its purpose, then cut to the next. These skits must be a blast to work on.
