Anyone still have QuickTime, QuickTIme Lite or QuickTime Alternative Installed? Just rolled my system back a year to cope with NET problems and notice QuickTime Lite v4.1 installed. Isn't QuickTime a security issue? Is QickTime required using Vegas 14? Thanks.

No longer for ProRes.
Yes for iPhone/iPad MOV videos but they'll play better by rewrapping to MP4 as Musicvid mentioned.
Yes for lots of other Quicktime formats like MJPEG etc. etc..
No for some MOV files like the ones my Olympus TG4 shoots, which get nicely decoded by compoundplug.dll, not qt7plug.dll. I'm not sure exactly what characteristic of an AVC MOV file is the deciding factor between which of these codecs Vegas uses. Something to do with the profile I suppose.
