rendering to a specific dimension with V V 16

mmish wrote on 2/6/2019, 9:18 PM

The FaceBook page banner recommended size is around 820 x 460. How do I crop output to that size. I've tried changing project frame size in properties and changing the dimension in custom render frame size and changing the dimensions in Track Motion. But, I end up with black bars on either size and what I want is the cropped output of 820 x 460.

Any advice greatly appreciated. I've done it before, but forgot what I did.

Google says 851x 315.

Mod 2 size would be 852x316.

would that be the property setting or render setting?

I already did FB banner video for someone, and if I remember correctly it was really 820x312. That size fitted the best. Let me dig up that project from an archive, and I'll tell the result later this day.

Interesting, I just got yesterday an email asking for a FB banner video, so I need to refresh my memory anyway... :)

OK, I found it. Yes, it is 820x312 29.97 fps. I've set the project to these dimension, and also rendered to a same dimension avc mp4.

Thanks Howie Duet. Good one. It worked perfectly. Thanks for the step by step. One of the critical things I was missing was:

Stretch video to fit output frame size. in the render pull-down.

Put the Crop thing was the other I'd forgotten about.

So helpful

Thanks
