Rendering with Vegas 19

I'm wondering why would vegas use only 8% of the CPU and around 2.7 GB from memory in rendering which make it take more time..
I have Intel i9 12900K / RTX 3080 12GB / 64 GB Ram / Windows 11 Pro
Render settings: AVC Internet 1920x1080 24p 16Bit
is this normal? it took 30 mins to render the video.. is there a way to make vegas use more CPU and more RAM in rendering? The video i'm rendering is 11 mins video work.

With a rtx3080 you're unlikely to be GPU bound. Are your source files HEVC? They can often use only a single core of your CPU to decode. Masking alone or Masking with feathering (even worse) can cause slow downs, Picture in PIcture can also, Blending video tracks together can be responsible. There's lots of reasons depending on what you're doing. Maybe there's work arounds, but you ask if it's normal, and yes possibly it is normal, depending on what you're doing. Variable frame rate can also be a cause.

You are most likely using hardware encoding, but that CPU activity is a symptom of a slowdown that is reducing the speed of processed frames getting to the encoder.

There has been talk of disabling the (e)conomy cores to product a 2x increase in rendering speed. That might also be a cause for you

You obviously have some timeline / processing filters on, so just tell us all of your media properties, project settings, fx, and rendering properties and we'll be glad to show you where the bottlenecks are.

Feel free to try a standard benchmark project and see if your render times are normal. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Exbi4K3hbxw6snJuisR1ble-0tCPVNcIcNnx0BAtSIM/

Indeed, adding a whole chain of FX will slow down rendering speed. Any reason for adding Vegas sharpen FX twice?

It's mostly BCC causing your slowdown, absolutely no doubt on this end.

Which raises the question, which Hardware GPU Acceleration is being used on the Preview?

Preferences->Video-> Gpu Acceleration of Video Processing.

Since you have provided so little of the information required (e.g., system, source media), I'm afraid that's all I can help. Good luck!
