Has anybody got any inside information if the screen capture feature is going to be enhanced at all? Still seems to be pretty basic to me at the moment after all this time.
I always thought Vegas didn't need to waste engineering resources on this feature. There are already many free professional screen recording tools, such as OBS.
I use my Nvidia card, (GeForce Experience) Alt+F9, so much easier than Vegas
Windows has a game capture feature too...push the windows button and G at the same time.
I tried Vegas screen capture on different machines with mixed results early in the release. All the while, I've used OBS and continue to do so. I don't usually record hours of material.
@3d87c4 The Windows Game Capture looks slick enough. One nice thing is it's available and easily accessible. One thing I noticed on my laptop is that the capture excludes a locked Taskbar and I couldn't quickly find a way to adjust the pixel dimensions from 1920x1040 to 1920x1080.
It won't capture apps in full screen mode either, d;oh!

I've never fully understood the need to add soccermom features to software that calls itself Pro, but I guess marketplace strategy dictates its direction.
