Tiny Video Preview

Rookie06 wrote on 3/12/2023, 10:48 AM

Hi, I am trying to edit my video but I literally cannot see what is going on. Whenever I add a video, the preview is just tiny. There is a vertical black bar with my video in microscopic size in the center. I want to be able to see it clearly.

If I change the zoom at all the bar disappears completely.

I've attached a picture. Thanks

@Rookie06 Look at your horizontal dimension.

That should give you a clue. Check your project settings.

My system
Dell XPS 8700 (I know, it's a little outdated, but it handles VP20 quite well)
Windows 10 Home (x64)
3.1 GHz Intel Core i5-4440
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti display adapter
System drive Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB

Camcorder
SONY Handycam HDR-XR550VE

Set your Project to Match your Source. Your source media is not 8 pixels wide, I am certain of that.

Use the Tutorials as your first source for learning the basics, thanks:

Thanks everyone. I have no idea why it was 8 pixels wide. I definitely didn't set it that way, something must've edited when I didn't think I was on that field.
