Tips to make a template.

Hi, I have some videos with this mediainfo data and I want to know what is the best template to render.

These are some videos to watch with the highest quality on a personal computer and I don't care if the final GBs are very heavy.

Something like this do you think is the best option?

I prefer something like this: When you select to filter the templates to match your project settings, you will see only these few available codecs. Some of them render really fast with less quality, some fast with high quality and some slow with extreme quality. To get almost the same quality as your original footage you can try Sony AVC, to get less quality select Magix AVC, to get top quality select Sony XAVC. Just make a few testrenders and decide which quality fits your needs.

"Format/Info                 : Blu-ray Video"

It appears that your source is on a Blu-ray disc. If you want to watch them at their original quality (and you don't intend to re-edit them), just drag the *.m2ts files to the playback device and settle down on the couch.

3POINT wrote on 1/4/2020, 12:27 AM

Blu-ray disc standard is normally 1080p24 max. Riu's source is 1080p50. Almost every source is playable on a playback device in original quality when there's no need for re-editing.

That's right, I've never used a Blu-ray. They are files for the computer.

I am looking for the one that can give me the best quality, regardless of the final GB.

So these are the two best options?

Hello, for Sony XAVC I need to know which of the three options is the best for my video. Could someone guide me?

Thanks

3POINT wrote on 1/5/2020, 4:10 AM

The last one should be more than sufficient, the others are not playable and meant for further editing, by my knowledge.

Given mediainfo data, is this template correct?

I mislead that there is no option to render by GPU.

Your video is 50p. Playback in a 30p format may be substandard.

Whatever you choose, modify the template for 50p, or 25p with resampling Off.

You can do fine with lower bitrates for a slideshow.

riu wrote on 1/7/2020, 5:56 AM

But in this template I think it doesn't leave me 25p or 50p.

In this other template would it be ok?

Type in the numbers. Works fine in VP14.

XAVC may be alright depending on your use, but it is overkill.

3POINT wrote on 1/7/2020, 6:14 AM

I think you're mislead by the name of the template. The Sony AVCHD 1080p30 template can also easily be changed and named into a 1080p50 template, as Musicvid showed. Leave the bitrate as high as possible to preserve the original quality of your source which is AVCHD 1080p50 at 25 Mbps.

I agree with Musicvid that XAVC is overkill, but it gives the best quality. But I also  doubt that you will see a difference between XAVC or AVC.

My bad, I got this mixed up with another thread, thought he had a slideshow.

Can you give me a screenshot of a Sony avc template?

Musicvid wrote on 1/7/2020, 2:51 PM

I did that above. VP14

3POINT wrote on 1/7/2020, 3:11 PM

Or install Voukoder for VegasPro. No more dealing with templates, framerates, resolutions, bitrates etc. One template fits them all, at very small filesizes and very good quality.

Or keep using the Sony AVC

template you created yourself as shown in your post above.

riu wrote on 1/8/2020, 4:33 AM

Thanks 3POINT, but I don't have so many different formats.

Do you think this template is fine or I need to change something in it.

Sorry, I forgot to put the screenshot in the previous post.
Now the capture is set

3POINT wrote on 1/8/2020, 3:25 PM

I would change and save the template name to "Internet 1080p50" for easy recognition and also change the audio tab as follows, because your original source seems to have surround sound.
