Vegas Pro 14 problem with separated audio

TomiXo wrote on 2/26/2017, 7:28 PM

Hey! I have a problem with the new Vegas Pro (v14), I used Action 2.0 to record a clip of my gameplay, I have the option: "Microphone recording in separate audio track", when I decide to edit this clip in Vegas 14, it only generate the channels for the audio, and not for the video. Someone can help me?

What format is the clip in?

Can you imagine the silence if everyone only said what he knows?

Action! footage is known to cause problems in Vegas. See sections 1 and 6 of this: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-why-won-t-vegas-open-my-file-correctly-codecs-converters-etc--104572/

I read your post. In Vegas 11, I could edit normally. With clips recorded with Action 2.0

I wouldn't be surprised if mp4 base media support was removed; it is used so seldom any more. What other encoding options does your software have?

Handbrake or ffmpeg should convert it just fine for Vegas as long as you use constant frame rate.

  1. Change format options in your screen recording software if there are any.
  2. Consider a different capture program such as OBS Studio that creates video that works in VP14.
  3. Convert footage that doesn't work in VP14. Suggestions are in part 6 of the same post.
  4. Consider sharing a sample of your footage on a cloud service for others to try. I have VP10, 12, 13 and 14 here but unfortunately not 11.
