Vegas Pro 14 video issue

in the past i have put some videos together using video took from my iphone 7 and all is fine. However from and iphone 8 Vegas doesnt seem to like it. They seem to load in and the audio is ok, but the video is eith not there and a black screen or bits come up but all blurred and mushed up. can anyone give me any pointers? Cheers Cass

Vegas Pro 15 and up opens the MOV files from the iPhone 8s natively using so4compoundplug.dll. Vegas Pro 14 and lower will open the files with Quicktime installed. The performance will likely be poor for the versions that use variable frame rate recording modes. I tried this on all recording modes from my wife's iPhone.

Follow these procedures to avoid Quicktime by converting the MOV files to MP4. 

Handbrake and/or VideoReDo TV Suite could be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate mode.
