@m3lquixd Thank you for the acknowledgment. One parting comment: I found a VFW AVI codec in Vegas that is called Newtek SpeedHQ 4:2:0:4, which is just fine for your material. Its size is miniscule compared to ProRes 4444, and it loads into Vegas without changing the media properties. That said, I have no idea where I got it. Looks like you have your wish.

How do I get this codec?

I'm going to guess here: https://www.newtek.com/downloads/

https://downloads.ndi.tv/Utilities/Codec/NewTek%20Video%20Codecs.exe

But everyone you share these files with will also need this codec installed.

Yes, that is the name of the installer. It is apparently a Tricaster format.

For inhouse use, it's quite good. 4444 is unnecessarily large.

Got it. But it works!

Adding a 4:2:0:4 alpha encoder to MagicYUV Ultimate would be quite useful for its small footprint. @MagicYUV

@Musicvid I just tested it and it didn't work. It did not automatically activate the alpha channel, and to make matters worse, the video was glitched.
I showed at the end of the video what the animation should be like.

I didn't experience that. Vegas 20.

I used it on VP 19.

ProRes MOV - 5 second file is 25.3 Meg which is very reasonable. (Alpha WAS auto detected)

@jetdv Here 5 second file is 1.25 Gb using VEGAS ProRes Native with alpha channel. This is the main reason why I don't use VEGAS native ProRes with alpha channel.

I tested too ProRes with alpha cahnnel using HOS Render Plus, Voukoder and Moraizon. The result is files almost 60 times smaller than those generated by VEGAS.

Moraizon = 21,3MB
Voukoder = 22,9MB
HOS Render Plus = 23,1MB
VEGAS ProRes Native = 1,25GB
