I have issue with Magix Vegas Pro 16:

MY PC Specs are:
GPU: Nvidia 1080ti
CPU: i9 7980xe

I am trying to use this HEVC Codec but it does not do the job as intended.
First if I chose to use Mainconcept HEVC. It starts good with rendering, and when it reach 132 frames, it get stucks and then he requires 1 hour to render 20 sec long video ? Ok I guess this was not for CPU only. I have try to cancle the render, but it didn't work needed to ends task?

Then I try to use NV Encoder for Magix Hevc and on every 59 frames the preview window, stuck for 1-2 sec and then continue. It does really render up the video blazing fast. But then I go to check the quality and as u can see on screenshots something is wrong here, and that is just the moment when the frame stucks at 59sec then at 118sec etc...
Settings are always constant bitrate 50k, Prest best quality and 60 fps. I also try out VRB and default preset but nope not gonna work at all.

What the hell am I paying here ? Does this company even have QA

i have the exact same Problem. i upgraded from vp15 to 16 because of HDR Support and now that Thing doesn`t work. as you have said, it starts with normal render Speed and then renders like 1 Frame in 10sec and not possible to cancle the render without end Task.

this also happens when i only put Pictures into the timeline, same Thing, starts normal and then takes forever. the Memory usage went also up to 26,5GB ^^

Specs:

AMD FX 8370

32GB RAM

Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB

Win 7 Ult, 64bit

update:

it Looks like the bad Setting is the Quality slider, using the Default "ausgeglichen" Setting renders now better. have to wait some hours, the final movie is 24min Long from our last vacation (200gb data) :D

What just above user wrote. Same issue using the sample project from Vegas 16.

Going to try disabling SO4COMPOUNDPLUG :/

Looks like Mainconcept HEVC settings (CPU Only) with Better Quality and Balanced do the job nice.

Best quality is making the problem :(
