@Reyfox @xberk @Musicvid Thanks such much for the comments - everything about that was all way out of my wheelhouse, but I've always been a huge animation fan, and do enjoy a challenge.

I have a couple other videos in the series I'm finishing up, and the animation gets more involved... quite surprised that Vegas can handle it, although I will say its timeline performance on this is NOT spectacular even on good hardware.

Reyfox, one of the nice features on the gopro is the timelapse. Other than the time that the camera is working it is a pretty painless operation. Only takes a couple of minutes swimming through the menu to setup the camera. That was about 2.5 hours of real time.

xberk, we are joining you in the hot dry weather. Mid 90's temp into the foreseeable future. Where I live would certainly be considered a desert (central Montana), 11 or 12 inches of moisture per year. -40f in the winter, into the 100's during the summer. j

@john-murphy my Panasonic camera will do timelapse. Toss it on my DJI Ronin SC, and it will add movement to it also. It's just the time and what do I actually want to dedicate that time to, that is the problem for me.

But, I have to start somewhere....

As an aside, in your video there are so many people wearing masks. I've just returned from Europe to Melbourne AU. In my first 2 days back home, I've seen significantly more people wearing masks here at home than I recently cumulatively saw during one month in Europe - Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands.

Bald Eagles Feeding.

A quick edit after returning home from the local refuge this morning. Turns out there was a fish kill which resulted in a Carp Buffet for the local Eagle population. Loving the 120 fps SloMo 4K available in the Canon R3 & R5.

@amendegw thanks for sharing this. What is needed is for those eagles to go to where the Asian carp have invaded. They'll never have to worry about fish.

@Reyfox Bald Eagles seem to prefer dead or stunned fish (easier to grab out of the water). That's why eagles congregate at hydroelectric dams. Fish are stunned when traveling through the turbines making them easy targets.
