480by720DVD media import to Studio 12

I have lots of experience with high def and blu ray editing
I have old home movies transferred to DVD format
how do I load this old media to Studio 12
I have PC high powered for HD editing
I just don't know how to do old media

Project > Import DVD Camcorder Disc...

or

Copy .vob files to a hard drive and change the extension to .mpg.

sorry about "old" video
I used to do that on a Screen Play editor
I've never done vhs on sony
I've been doing high def since 2006, not bragging, I just wanted it bad
