my movie studio platinum 12 problem report

i need someone to help me step by step

 

ok about 2 days ago i clicked on my movie studio platium app and it didnt even go the loading screen and just popped up

movie studio platinum 12 problem report

iv tried a few things on how to fix this from youtube but they wont work

 

i even posted something on here saying what the problem is and someone gave me a link but it was too complicated to understand on what i should do

can someone help me please

That link was only asking for information about your computer and media. Unless you can provide that information, there is little chance of getting a response. But as a general suggestion, try resetting VMSP back to its factory settings following the procedure outlined at point 14 in:

It should work in VMSP as well as in Vegas Pro.

it just says.....problem report and this happens everytime i click on it

 

i tried uninstalling it and installing it but it does the same thing problem report and wont open

 

iv been using this software for a good 6 or 7 years and yeah i had the same problem report again sometimes but it would open when i clicked it again

 

this is all the information that think the questions asked me but if i need to give more information then please tell me where i should look please

 

when it says version i assumed it meant movie studio platinum 12

but when it comes to build im not sure what that is or where to look for it

 

what am i doing wrong

5 symptoms of my problem 

ok basically iv used movie studio platinum 12 for i think 7 years and on rare occasion it would give this box thing
saying movie studio stopped working but that would be rare

but just the other day around 2 to 3 days ago i tried to click on the app on my computer and the problem report popped upand i just pressed 
send problem and tried to reopen movie studio platinum  12 again but it did the same thing over and over

i tried uninstalling it and installing it again but its just giving me the same problem the problem report box keeps popping and it shuts down

and thats basically it 

what do i do

It should work in VMSP as well as in Vegas Pro.

Resetting to factory defaults is more likely to fix problems that an uninstall/re-install usually can't fix.

 

Please be aware that no-one on the forum can do the factory reset for you.

If it worked before, resetting often helps. Did you follow the instructions exactly? It seems that sometimes "double-clicking the program's shortcut icon on the desktop" (see point 2) and  "Delete all cached application data" (see points 4 and 5) are not noticed and done.

funny think is that movie studio platinum 12 that is on my pc ( which isnt working now ) but my laptop is working fine with it

 

but i want to make my pc to use movie platinum 12 its faster

 

so im going to think that maybe its the requirements for me to use movie studio 12

 

maybe there is something wrong with my system but im not sure what is wrong

it might be that or something else is wrong

 

and now i pressed the app to set it up and now it wont work

 

i just dont know what is wrong

I wonder if this is the case. "Older versions of Vegas Pro [and Movie Studios] than 14.0 are licensed under a system (as previously used by Sony) which permits use on multiple computers by one user; after an unspecified number of installations on different or updated PCs you may need to contact support to reset your "installation count".

You might also try asking at Online Live Chat ("Please visit www.vegascreativesoftware.com/support between 12:00 and 4:00 Central (currently GMT-5) Monday through Friday and use the chat widget in the lower-right-hand corner to chat directly with a support rep.")
