Help Needed: Large Font Issue in Vegas Pro Menus

fabian-b wrote on 7/28/2024, 12:02 PM

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with certain menus in Vegas Pro where the font size is excessively large. I've attached an image for reference.

I've tried adjusting the font size settings in Windows, and I've also used the "use high DPI scaling" option in the display preferences, but neither of these solutions worked. Additionally, I played around with the DPI settings within the application itself, but still no success.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

You need to download and install the sans serif font. and you should be ok.

Yes, of course, as I said, I've tried adjusting the font size settings in Windows. It's in 100% everyewhere.

Could you please indicate what font and where?

@fabian-b did you read the whole thread @zzzzzz9125 linked? If that does not help, click the links in my comment in that thread, esp. the third one. And there are further links in NickHope's comment there. Please "read carefully the threads Nick linked. The solutions seem to/ may have been only slightly different".

Hello, browsing through all the suggested topics (special thanks to @vkmast and @zzzzzz9125), I found the solution that works for me, and I am sharing it here just in case someone random finds this page looking for a solution, so you don't have to browse through all the pages looking for it.

First: You probably have to install this font:  https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/download/2096359

Once dowloaded, unzip it and copy the file into C ---> Windows ---> Fonts

Second: You have to edit your registry. Go to your Windows search bar, and type "Registry". Open the registry editor. Go as follows:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ---> SOFTWARE ---> Microsoft ---> Windows NT ---> CurrentVersion ---> Fonts

You now have to press CRTL+F and search for "MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24"

Double click on it, and edit the path: change the filename to SSERIFER.FON

The problem should be solved now.
