4K Video Proxies Option Not Available in Vegas Pro (Build 387) Update?

I just updated Vegas Pro 17 to the latest version (Build 387) and now it won't make video proxies for files that are 4K (ultra HD).  It used to have an option under the "VIDEO" tab in the preferences where you could select to have video proxy files made for ultra HD (4K) resolutions.  Proxy files help my editing a lot since 4K files are so large.  But now in the new version it says "automatically create video proxies for greater than 4K resolution media" which means it will not create proxy files for my 4K video files. I clicked on the help icon to read the manual and it says in the manual it will make video proxies for files 4K and above, but the option in the software says greater than 4K. I've imported 4K video files into my timelines after the update and it will not create a video proxy for any of my 4K files. Has anyone else noticed that? Is there a way to have Vegas Pro 17 do video proxies for 4K media or did it get take away completely?

When you have the right hardware you don't need them, but you can always make your wanted proxies by rightclicking on that file in Project Media

The reason to set automatic proxies creation only for 4k and not for UHD is not clear to me. Hardware that's is not able to play 4k is also not able to play UHD. Luckily you can change that in the hidden preferences, but what is than the reason to make this area hidden, when a user should make changes over there to get the Vegas the job done? Hidden means to me "no user serviceable parts inhere".

That doesn't have anything about 4K Video Proxies

How do we access these hidden preferences to make the adjustment?

By doing this manually, will it automatically use the proxy files when I switch to draft or preview? Or do I have to turn it on manually somehow?

It will happen automatically.

The hidden preferences are the internal preferences to which I pointed in my comment earlier

Click Shift+Preferences (in Options menu) to get to Internal Preferences.

Please read Marco.'s comment that I gave a link to.
