Accidentally moved my event fx box off screen and cant restore it

I'm a student and I use an older version- Vegas pro 13. I was in the middle of editing and using the event fx.I accidentally pushed the box off screen entirely and cannot figure out how to fix it.

When I click it it like highlights but I cant find the box or do anything with it. And is nowhere to be found

I have deadlines to meet and need to be able to edit. I cant find any way to restore the settings or zoom my desktop out (I'm using an older laptop and I'm not very tech savvy outside of my basic editing and photoshop skills

@Pokemongirl Hi, go to View - Default Layout, that should restore that window, if you move things around to your liking then Save Layout As & give it a name, if it happens again all you'll have to do is click on your saved layout, mine in the pic is 'good'

If that window still isn't showing look in View - Window, it'll be in the list there, tick to open it.

Hey I did this but the button still wouldnt work. It was like highlighting but not opening it. I accidentally dragged it off screen and it was acting as if the box was open but as I couldnt physically see it - wouldn't allow me to use it

@Pokemongirl Did you click Default Layout, & can you share a Full screen shot?

Is it this Video Event FX?

@Pokemongirl When you do get it back there's a box in Preferences that will allow Windows to dock, this will let you put it permanently on the screen somewhere next to one of the other tabs like i have, if your laptop view is big enough of course

I will get a screenshot asap. I think I did. It's so complicated for me as I'm not the most tech savvy

Sorry I should have made things a bit clearer, the event fx tab still shows. I can still add an effect onto the media but the box that comes up afterwards to make any changes has disappeared. The little green puzzle piece on the timeline clip for example I cant open it. I also found my event/pan/crop icon isnt working either its having the same issue.

I can add an effect but not alter it, so it would just be stuck at the default I cant make any changes - example if I want to add gradient map colour changes, its stuck at whatever the defaults are. I cant go into the FX box popout and change to what I want. It's not showing up anywhere

@Pokemongirl - You’re talking about the Control Pane. Yeah, that’s a pain. For whatever reason it’s been resized to something very small. Look carefully around the screen, it’ll be there. Failing all that maybe a Factory reset?
