If you are upgrading from VEGAS Pro to VEGAS Post, deactivate the previously installed VEGAS Pro, and then reactivate again by using VEGAS Post Serial number. Running VEGAS Pro with VEGAS Post serial number should automatically activate VEGAS Effects and VEGAS Image.

It's telling me the same thing; can anyone tell me how to activate the Pro and or Post? I have already installed some of the perks that came with the program, but the Vegas Post didn't download

VEGAS Post is just VEGAS Pro with VEGAS Effects and VEGAS Image included. It isn't a separate version of VEGAS Pro.

Last week I upgraded license for Vegas Pro 18, up to Vegas Pro 20... My question is, now I want to upgrade to Vegas Post 20, what are my options? Or do I have to pay the full price and upgrade to Post ? can I get a refund for Vegas Pro 20 upgrade ?

Hello. I own Vegas Post 20. I just purchased Vegas pro 21. I created a new account in my Windows 10 desktop. To keep Vegas as the primary in this new account. Effects, Stream and Image are asking for activation.

1. Can I use these with Vegas Pro 21 or do I have to repurchase post all over again at the higher cost.?

2. Do I have to reinstall Vegas post 20 in this new account?

@Paul-Drago ... If you purchased Vegas Pro 21 Post, there will be Vegas Effects and Vegas Image versions specifically for VP Post 21. Stream is not a part of VP Post anymore. If you purchased Vegas Pro 21 Edit or Vegas Pro 21 Suite, you do not have access to either Effects or Image in Vegas Pro 21; however, you can continue to use Effects, Image and Stream in Vegas Pro 20 Post assuming that you have a perpetual licence to that program.

If Vegas Pro 20 Post is still installed on your computer, you should be able access it via Windows Apps in your new Windows user account.

After I did that I could access and load Vegas effects, Image and Stream. Can this work while I now will use 21 or do I flip back and forth from 21 to 20 to 21? Thank you very much for your help. Yes, that is what will need to be done in order to use Effects, Image and Stream when integrated in Vegas Pro 20. As mentioned before, you will need to have purchased Vegas Pro Post 21 in order for Effects and Image to work within Vegas Pro 21.

Alternatively, you should be able to use both Effects and Image as standalone apps where you can open them, import and work on the image or video, render to its own media file, and then import that file into Vegas Pro 21. To make it easier, create desktop icons for Effects and Image by going to the Vegas folder in Windows 'All Apps' (accessed by clicking the Windows icon on the keyboard), R click on the relevant icon, click on 'More / Open file location', copy the highlighted icon in the window that opens, then R the desktop and click on 'Paste shortcut'.

What about trying to copy the "VegasEffects.fio2007-config" file from the older version "C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 20.0" and "C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 21.0" ?

21 should still have the script to import Stream video and audio.

Since installing Vegas Pro (Edit) 22, seems to have broken my Vegas Post 19 Effects and Image etc. They keep asking to be activated but I don't see how to do. I reinstalled and opened 19 but still same issue.

UPDATE: Got Effects working/'activated'. In the 19 Post install process had to remove Effects then reinstall it. Now working again in 19, 20, and 21. Does not work in 22.
