can't wait for VP 18 and new update for Vegas post there going to be competition Vegas post Vs Adobe creative cloud from Gary rebholz he said Vegas post and Adobe are going to go head to head the in video can't wait 😊 link down below.
It's my take a long time but Hollywood filmmakers tv editors YouTube etc will leave avid media composer, avid Pro tools Adobe creative cloud, DaVinci resolve resolve, final cut Pro to use Vegas creative software
...Those using Adobe, Resolve, Media Composer, etc... will have to have a really compelling reason to leave what they know and use to make a living. Collaboration is also important.
For Youtubers, I really can't see paying each month for Adobe, but then, it's not my money. For event editing, Vegas is really fast. What got me to take up the Vegas mantle was the Humble Bundle for VP14 a few years ago.
I never ever considered Vegas on my editing radar. Ugly interface was on reason. But for the price of the HB, I took a chance. After a couple of weeks of using it, I bought VP15Suite. Now using VP17Suite, but do own Boris Continuum 2020.

I like VP but it skip some important features. people were using fcp like professionals but than they want to leave to go Adobe or DaVinci resolve but now some people want to leave Adobe crash Pro to go DaVinci resolve so this would be the best time for VP to take over.
One of the only reasons why people use avid it BC it was the fist NLE and it gives them tools to collaborate on a project
Whan VP give us tho tools people would consider Vegas Pro
People are entitled to their opinions and reasons. I found that above video not true for me in the least. I do not have constant crashing. Yes, there are operational differences between software, but can you get the job done.
As for integration with say, a photo editor, I thought that was what VE was about. It's "nice" but not something I would consider a deal breaker if I had to edit a photo in an editor and import it into Vegas.
And there is something about paying every month that irks me to no end. Stop paying, and guess what....

The client focused players in the NLE video field are Vegas Pro, FXHome and BorisFX (and probably others). To me, the approach of stop paying and the product is dead is reprehensible.
