Ads in Vegas Pro 16 are irritating me to no end.

I keep getting stupid ads that advertise Vegas Pro 17. When I click "DO NOT SHOW AGAIN". Lo and F'n Behold, it shows it on next launch.

KNOCK IT OFF. If I want Vegas Pro 17, I'll seek it out. These stupid pop ups are really jarring. I shouldn't have to be advertised to in what amounts to a pop up ad for something I paid good money for, especially when I distinctly click the checkmark for "do not show again". It's little things like this that makes Vegas seem like a joke so people in the industry end up using FCP, Premiere or Avid.

Fix the bug and stop pestering me. Seriously the dumb ads make me want to jump ship to something else entirely. Davinci Resolve keeps looking better and better and it's free. Stop acting like charlatans on the Las Vegas strip trying to lure me into a casino with coupons for free hot wings. Get some class and dignity about you.

I could forgive it one time the "do not show again" check mark box actually worked. Even then, it's trashy. It's not like you're not sending me a bunch of emails saying the same thing. That will suffice. Fix the bug, which I suspect isn't a bug (of the do not show again check box not working), it's probably a "feature", or just take it out entirely. I despise those ads with the fiery passion of a million burning suns. I'm posting this to help your company, along with complaining for my personal irritation.

Please note that this is a user forum, and the users of Vegas Pro aren't in a position to recode the product.

Rather than chucking a tanty, it would have been much more appropriate for you to have politely asked the forum if there was any other way of turning off the pop up, and the answer would have been to go to Options/Preferences/General Preferences and uncheck the 'Use Newsfeed to stay informed about VEGAS product updates' box. Hopefully, that should work.

This domain is owned by Magix. If they don't monitor it, or use it as a resource for feedback on their product, they're stupid. I'm sure they do. If enough people complain, maybe they'll actually start working out bugs instead of figuring out how to shoehorn in more ads at people that already purchased their software.

That's my biggest complaint, it doesn't work. It seems like Vegas spends more time advertising to you than actually having the program work and getting actual bugs out of the software. I've checked the "do not show again" and unchecked Use Newsfeed to stay informed". It should be off by default. Whenever I restart the program, it does it again. Every. Time. I've even started the program and exited it to make sure it didn't crash. A clean exit, and clean relaunch. Same thing.

@AaronM I have VP15 and VMS15 so not sure if this is relevant for VP16, but check Windows Settings>Apps and see it there is an App "Connect. If so, uninstall it.

Cheers, Robbie
