No problem here either (in Platinum). My window looks like Cornico's.

My animation presets also disappeared a long time ago, for Vegas Pro. I have no idea what caused this and re-installing the program did not fix it. However there is an alternate solution to this problem. You can manually install them into the OFX folder.

I have a copy of all the presets in a zip file, which you can download from my forum. There are instructions that go with it as well.

My animation presets are also missing from T&T in MVMSP 14 build 122, which (against my better judgment and for testing purposes) I bought, downloaded and installed. The 4 buttons are as in Cornico's sg. The animation pull-down menu is OK in my SMSP 12 and 13 as well as in SVPro 12 and 13. (Win7 64bit)

Btw., why when opening MVMSP 14 (b.122) the splash window says "Movie Studio" and not "Movie Studio Platinum" (as in previous versions)? This just adds to the confusion.

Exactly.

As suggested in this thread, I installed .NET Framework 4.6.2 for my Win7 64bit. Titles & Text animations are now working in my MVMSP 14 b.122 as well.

We dropped the "Platinum" from the splash screen (it has been so on all builds of VMS 14, not new to this update) because on the opposite side of the coin, users get confused when we include that word, and it turns into needless distraction for our already strapped support crew.

The issue is that Movie Studio Platinum is the version that is included with the Movie Studio Suite package. So, customers where buying Movie Studio Suite, but seeing a splash screen that said "Platinum". They would then call our team and (in the most reasonable cases) ask why we sent them VEGAS Movie Studio Platinum rather than VEGAS Movie Studio Suite, even though they have received all of the extras for the Suite bundle instead of the Platinum bundle.

Yes, we could create another build that is identical to Platinum but has a Suite splash screen. But that's just more busy work for developers who I assume you would rather have spending their time on actually improving the products rather than duplicating installer work, testing, and building. And that too would cause confusion as endless discussions would likely erupt about what's different between Platinum and Suite and how we're just trying to grab more money by giving an identical product different names.

I know sometimes our decisions seem senseless to you from the outside, but those are the reasons behind my decision to drop the word "Platinum" from the installer. Notice that Move Studio and Movie Studio Platinum are also differentiated by the color scheme used in the packaging and splash screen. I hope that's sufficient to help alleviate the confusion you're experiencing.

Thank you for the explanation. By the confusion I was referring to the many posts on this and other forums by users who have not done their homework before buying one of these products and do not know that they are in fact different products. I've suggested a couple of times that the basic version might be dropped altogether to alleviate the confusion and help with the workload, but I guess that's not up to the dev team.

What about the missing animation drop-down list? I have the same problem on my notebook (on my desktop no problem).

I will never understand why several versions of Movie Studio are released instead of just ONE Movie Studio version. Those customers who just bought the simple version always discover that they are missing important features (they actually need) and those who bought the suite version discover that they have just the platinum version with extra third party plugins (which are not worth the extra money, my opinion). I would recommend to see just ONE Vegas Movie Studio released with all the features and without any third party plugins. (who thinks he needs extra plugins, should purchase them separately) This would prevent a lot confusion and disappointment afterwards.

On my notebook also MS13 and Vpro14 are installed, animation of T&T is/was no problem. I just tried to repair my NET framework as suggested. Now in Vpro14, the animation is also gone!!!

I feel a little that I'm back in those days were I was a Pinnacle Studio user and spend more time in solving problems with the software than actual using the software....
