Actually it's DVD Architect Studio 5.0 and not Architect 5.0
Some suggested to convert the video to a different format before editing in Vegas Studio HD Plat 10...

I have tried it with a .mov video, now I'm going to try .mpeg2

Hey thanks for the help...

Your error message seems to indicate that you're trying to burn to a DVD RAM disc, rather than a BD-R. Could that be so?

That's what the error suggests. I have in fact saved the video under BluRay in Vegas, and Made BlueRay Video in Architect Studio 5.0. I also placed a BD in my burner.. But the error is the result...

stupid question from me...do you have a blu-ray burner? (Your first attempt and all)...

Yeah I seem to be getting stupid questions...

and yep it's called Samsung BluRay Disc +
on "i5 760 Intel and HD 5830 AMD graphics with ASUS motherboard Extreme Player.."

surely it's good enough to prepare and burn a BD on 1TB hd..

One would think after spending so much money on software that Sony experts would at least give ya some help, anyway, it's an opportunity...

I have tried a .m2ts file and the same error occurs. I tried to burn (the image) with a different software and discovered that the bd format is not recognised by the burner.

It's an Imation 25GB Rewritable disc. Blu Rays are not very popular in my end of the woods, but I insist and I think I'll try a different bd and maybe a Recordable one instead.

Great and good luck to me...!

Is it a DVD writer, BD reader combo?
vkmast wrote on 3/23/2011, 5:41 PM
pls check with ImgBurn (free) : go to Tools > Drive > Capabilities...

Got it!
I went back to the Retailer and they confirmed that the so-called burner can only burn DVD and read BluRays. It cannot burn BluRays...

either compo or something... anyway, I have to buy and install a BluRay burner on top of what I already have...

Thanks for help guys

Cheers
Loren
