Big glitch in VMS13? Crossfaded video clip issue

Been using MS13 for a few projects now and am pretty disappointed to the changes they made from MS12; but one issue is really bothering me at the moment.

When you have two video clips crossfaded (overlapped) with each other, I find it impossible to grab the end (right side) of the leftmost clip to shorten/lengthen. Even when that clip is selected in the timeline, and the giant blue tab is visible, it's impossible to grab it; you end up grabbing the rightmost clip instead every time.

Am I missing something here? In MS12, it was a no-brainer to change to length of either clips that have been crossfaded together.

Any help appreciated.

(this is only the tip of the iceburg with my issues so far with MS13)

Thanks vkmast, that helps! It still is an extra step that wasn't necessary in MS12, but I guess I can live with it. It still seems like a glitch to me though, since the big blue tab is clearly visible but untouchable.

Expanding tracks is ok for the video. Actually the A/B editing approach can be easier in some ways so. It's great that Movie Studio has the option.

But if you are working with just the audio you can't do that. .As cheapjustice said you can trim only the right-hand clip; you cannot access the left-hand clip. This needs to be logged as a bug, it was ok in 12.

you could access the left-hand clip using keyboard shortcuts and edge trim?
Auto Ripple on, select the left-hand event, 9 on the num kb to event edge, see red, use 1, 3, 4, or 6 as needed?
Till they get this fixed of course.
