Check that you don't have the Split Screen View button pressed and Clipboard selected (just in case 😎).

I have version 14.0, build 105.

Split screen isn't active. It was running fine since I started using the thing a couple of weeks ago without a problem. everything else is working fine. I just can't see anything.

Can you post a screen shot of your timeline and your preview window?

if you start up a new project is it still black?

One option is to reset the software (you will lose your settings/prefs.

Markk655, I imported new files into the timeline but no joy. I did start a new project and got the same result.

(I'd still double-check toggling the Split Screen View button first. Did not know they added that to MVMSP 14.)

Cornico - Yes, I agree. It definitely looks active to me.

It was a Pro feature that was added to VMS 14. Click it again (and again) to toggle) or use the pull down to select.

What happens if you set the preview screen quality from Best to Draft?

Also, do go to the nVidia, ATI or Intel web sites and ensure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Don't trust Windows to provide it.

You're not the only one.
Even for experienced users it is hard to see, even if you know its function(s).
Hopefully the develope team is listening and makes all the buttons better visible for active and not active function.
