Its a conflict with one of the plugins you have installed. Remove the Hitfilm ofx plugins and see if it starts up.

The only supported version of Hitfilm plugins that I am aware of, is Ignite Pro 4.1 and Ignite Pro 5. Any other Hitfilm plugin will not work.

I'd move the HF plugins from this location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins. Move that ofx.buncle from that location. You can put it on your desktop. Restart Vegas, let things rebuild and see how far you get.

Also looks like some Boris FX troubles too. I don't know what those are.

You can also rebuild the effects by renaming (I don't delete anything) in this location: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\21.0, plugin_manager_cache.bin and svfx_plugin_cache.bin.

But really, this shouldn't be happening in the first place. It also never did in any previous version. I've been using the HF FX for years now, only the color grading ones recently started to act up and crash v20. Also, it seems the internal Vegas OFX crash the launch too.

It's an unnecessary mess that will take me hours of debugging and fiddling.

V21 seems kinda cursed for me. It started with the download links not arriving after my purchase, which was never the case before. Then no answers from support. I finally found the basic download in my account under the "my software" tab, but I guess all the bonus addon programs are missing. Mailed support again today, still no answer.

Literally not a happy customer!😡

This is confusing. I just checked my software" in my Magix/ Vegas creative account again. It lists my purchase of V21 pro edit with its serial and download link. But it also sais that I activated V21 suite with that serial. I never downloaded suite, how could I? Could that be the reason for the plugin crash?

Yes, Mocha Vegas is a part of the Suite. Since you can have 2 installs of a perpetual license, have you tried installing Vegas Pro (Edit)? And if want the Suite plugins, have you contacted sales, which I am sure, will be happy to help you spend your money?

I know it adds to the complexity of purchasing Vegas, But there should be in place, a where to cross/upgrade to a higher version. Like Pro to Suite/Post or Suite to Post.
