Buttons and playback on a TV

When I create a Menu Based Project in Vegas/DVD A and use Preview the first page to appear is the Title Page with the appropriate buttons for "Play Video" and "Scene Selection" that I have created. However, when I burn the same video to a DVD and play it back on a TV, it misses the Title Page altogether and starts playing the video. What I want is to give my audience the choice of playing the video or selecting a particular scene at the start of the video itself. Any advice will be appreciated. (I am using Sony Vegas HD Premium 11 to create the video and DVD Architect 5 to create the menu and burn to DVD all this on a PC running W7 64 bit)

and the answer there.
DVDA online Help gives excellent advice about setting the disc start item.

Many thanks, remember your advice previously but only just back editing videos after a break of some time. Even when I ensure the Start Disc indicator is at the Main Menu (or Title page) as you suggested and preview confirms the two buttons are there, the video on my TV still starts with the video itself. I have even tried following a webenair (? spelling) on titling/menus step by step, everything is fine until again I try and play the finished video on my TV.

After testing on another DVD player and on which it worked fine, I have come to the conclusion it is my DVD player and not the programme settings.
