You might be better off checking the upgrade price to Vegas Pro 16 as you have MS 15 Platinum. (As a VEGAS Movie Studio owner, now you can upgrade to the award-winning VEGAS Pro for a special price!)

See here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/

You need to find a reliable third-party source to purchase an older version.

Anyway, I would download the trial before...

I am currently running Movie Studio 15 Platinum and it's not handling my HD videos very well. Choppy transitions in the preview window. I would love to upgrade to Vegas Pro, but I don't want to pay the price for version 16. I was hoping 15 was available somewhere. Any suggestions?

You are still able to buy VP15 on Steam or Windows Store but for the same price as VP16. Unfortunately, you missed the humble bundle deal in December: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/humble-bundle-is-at-it-again-with-vegas-15-edit-also-sound-forge-12--114041/.

@Vegas_Sebastian does the Steam (or Windows Store) purchase now entitle you to get the upgrade pricing for a later version? Or allow you to use the software simultaneously on two devices? And.

Actually, I do not know.

@sebastianS I have (honest and registered) Movie Studio Platinum 14 and am being offered a low price upgrade to Vegas Pro 16. I am tempted. However, I cannot see anything that specifically says Platinum Studio qualifies for the upgrade. Can you confirm this is OK? And (second question) do I end up with both Movie Studio and Vegas Pro on my machine? I sometimes collaborate with another user and I want to keep the option of Movie Studio where they can open my files.

They are separate installations and can exist on the same computer.

@JackW this was only quoted from the product pages. You may need to search them for more.
