Can't activate despite entering information correctly

Hello.

Trying to install and activate Movie Studio 16 on a new computer. Keep getting error message -14 when I try to activate. I took the serial number from the email I received when I purchased the software in 2019. As I recall, I purchased 15 and was upgraded to 16. Any thoughts as to why I am unable to register and activate?

Followed those links to some useless advice. I copied and pasted the serial number directly from an order confirmation email I received on April 4, 2019. I'm not sure how typos could factor into this. The software activated correctly on the old device I installed it on. Not so fortunate on the new device.

Not sure either if the restrictions mentioned in section 9 here are the issue. If not, you may need to try again the link for Support as advised. Unfortunately the process is not too straightforward at the moment, but you should eventually get to see this option:

@Tim-Salzen Did you purchase direct from Magix? If so the "Section 9 here" link vkmast gave may be your answer. Although it appears "Error 14" usually relates to something else.

I suspect that when you go into your Magix account you may find both activation slots occupied by your old machine. If so just deactivate one. The duplication sometimes happens with version updates.

Are you sure you are using this serial number on the correct product?
