Can't activate my Vegas Pro

I run Vegas Pro 19/20 and try to activate it click by 'Activate & register immediately online', but always get 'An online connection could not be established...'
if I try to 'Create activation code' on website:

Error activating

No activation could be created; please try again later.

Do you have Vegas Pro 365, the subscription version?
If you have the perpetual version, your license code from VP-19 will not activate VP-20.. or vise-versa
You can see and change your actvations (deactivate/reactivate) in the Magix Service Center. Log-in and go to "My Products> Show More Details

FYI, one license can activate VP on two (2) PCs simultaneously
'365' subscription versions can only be activated on on (1) PC at a time.

Have you ever in the past used a Pirated version of Magix Vegas?
The Pirated versions tend to block the authentication server when Vegas is trying to reach their IP for Authetication.
Even after deletion of the Pirated software it'll keep the "rule" in check

I tried on 3 different machines (1 PC and 2 laptops), and also tried to 'Create activation code' on the website (https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/)

moreover, Vegas was still active today on one of these laptops, I wanted to use the other - deactivated it and tried to activate it on the other...

Just to recap (from the main FAQ): "9. How many computers can I use VEGAS Pro on?
You can use VEGAS Pro (14.0 and later) simultaneously on 2 devices. VEGAS Pro 365 can be used on 1 device at a time.

To deactivate a device, so you can activate a different one, visit your MAGIX account > My Products > Show More Details > Deactivate. This option can be used only once a month.

In VEGAS Pro 14.0 or later, you can also choose Deactivate the Software on this PC from the Help menu This option can be used as often as you wish. An internet connection is required."

On how many machines is it deactivated on.

You also say you run Vegas Pro 19/20. Which one is the problem? I have 19 and 20 running on my computer without any issues.
