Can't install program update

When I start Vegas it produces a message that there is a program update When I accept the update invitation, it downloads the program update, but when I try to install it it says that the program cannot be updated while Vegas is running. But when you close the program the update is lost, and the whole process starts again when I reopen the program. This happened with the lest update as well, which I finally gave up on. I have contacted Customer Support, but they seem unable or uninterested in helping with this issue. This kind of stuff reflects very poorly on Vegas, and I am hoping we can find a solution before it is necessary for me to find another editing program.

Go to your Documents/Magix Downloads/Installationmanager and install it from there.

That one should do it if you used the download manager. (The "download managers" are small (typically approx. 6MB). When run, they will fetch a much larger (e.g. 700MB), main installer for the current release, along with other bundled plugins and apps. See section 6 VEGAS Pro 18 here.)

Maybe in this case "Update.exe" in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\18.0

I use VEGAS 17 suite and when I want to make a film AVCHD 1920x1080-50i model, after having modified Internet options as demanded and firewall, the download fails systematically.

What can I do to repare this problem ?

sorry - message split. There's no info in any of the folders you sent me to. So that approach doesn't work. Web site directed me to a download link but that file won't save. I seem to be stuck . . . right back where I started -- in fact, in a worse position because nothing seems to be working.

Thanks @j-v 🙂.We all do mix up things occasionally.

@John-Whiteside try MAGIX Download Center. It's always worked for me. Be sure to check Task Manager that there are no VEGAS processes running. Try another browser if one does not download. Check also the many related threads just in case.

Thanks vkmast. I think I have a problem with Microsoft or VEGA or the two. I can't realise a film and something stop the download of a necessary patch to transform my video setting in a film for the the first using.
Il wanted to reinstall VEGA pro 16 and I failed. Il have had a message of Magix saying a problem with Internet connection.

I have no problem with Internet. I bought VEGA 17 in last may and had registered easily all the products.

This problem bores myself very much.
