Cannot open file

I got this with Vegas 9 platinum changed to Movie Studio 15 which was trouble free for months now I randomly get 'Failed to open file' error message. The file was previously worked on and converted from MP4 to WMV. Have reinstalled MS 15. Laptop is MSI, ssd, 8gb ram. Any ideas?

"If it worked before" it's often worth trying to reset software to default settings. Follow the instructions exactly.
