Constant Crashing

MikesBackForYou wrote on 1/30/2016, 6:21 PM
I was just editing a video only 2 hours ago. I completed, uploaded to YouTube and then turned off my computer. I get on to edit some other videos, and the right hand corner where it shows your video being played was missing. I restarted the program and now I cant even get it to run because it keeps crashing as soon as I start it up. I already tried rebooting my PC, and reinstalling Movie Studio and it wont work.

If you would like to contact me via e-mail; Mygamingemail277906@gmail.com
Thanks!

Try resetting. Reset software to default settings.

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me a few days ago!

The preview window was missing when I started the program so I closed it and ever since then, it will load through the entire initialisation sequence and then crash once the program has finished loading.

I have already tried resetting the software using the ctrl+shift startup and I have also completely re-installed from scratch. I have furthermore uninstalled my nVidia driver in case a driver update was the culprit but no luck.

The annoying thing is that I didn't change anything on my pc inbetween the program starting up and then never working again despite clean re-install.

If anyone has an answer, I would be much obliged! :-)

JF,
just to check. When you reset, did you see a window that asks "Do you want to reset all preferences to default values?"
If you did, did you place a checkmark next to "Delete all cached application data" and then clicked Yes?
If not, read the last several posts from here.
I assume you already read this as well.
And have you got the same version of the software as the OP?
