Open both projects simultaneously, each in its own instance of VMS, then cut & paste.

I don't seem to be able to keep more than one project open at the same time. I'm not sure what own instance of VMS means. Could you please explain a bit more
Thanks

Hi.

You can have VMS in two separate windows. The first has your old project and the second has your new one. Copy the part you want from the first window and paste it to the second 'instance'.

I think that I know what you mean Caraelius. If you're opening the app by double-clicking on a desktop icon then if you repeat the exercise it will simply display the originally open copy.
What you need to do is double-click on the desktop icon to open one instance of the app and when open re-size it so that fills half of your desktop. Then go to the Start button (bottom left of desktop), locate the app from the all programmes list and then click on it. This action will open a second instance of the app. Re-size as before so that now you will have two separate instances of the same app on the desktop. Then proceed with the copying from one instance to the other as earlier described.

No need to resize them if you don't want to. I leave them open full screen and then Alt-tab between them.
