Vegas Pro 17 or Vegas Movie Studio 17?

Did you previously have DVDA installed?

Bob-Ingram wrote on 12/31/2021, 7:37 PM

No. I don’t know what that is. I have used Vegas and architect for years. I would appreciate info on what I need to do to once again create dvd’s

I’m sorry-Vegas pro

Presumably, DVD Architect came with Vegas Pro 17 unless you got the Edit version which didn't ship with DVDA. Or DVDA came with an earlier version of Vegas Pro (again, not the Edit version) or even with Sony Vegas Pro 13 or earlier. If that is the case, there's a reasonable chance that you can download DVDA from the My Products listing on your MAGIX My Account. The serial number should be there as well.

I got DVDA with Vegas Pro 10, 11, 12 and 13 back in Sony days, and the download links and SNs are still available to me today via my MAGIX My Account.

As others have said, check your MAGIX account > My products. You may need to check (in "Show more details") the status of activations for a possible "double" activation on one device after reinstalling. (See this FAQ, item 9.)

If you don't need a menu, in VEGAS just go to Tools - Burn Disc - DVD

Will Vegas 17 render and burn a WAV file. I have been using Vegas since 2005 and have never encountered as many problems trying to make a cd until now. I recently got a 17 download using my original serial # and lost Architect in the process. Thanks in advance

VEGAS can render a wav file, not sure about burning it, but you can use cd burner xp or a number of other free apps to do that.

@Bob-Ingram - Now, why are we writing about burning WAV files? - You've lost me.

@Bob-Ingram - For you, I just reinstalled VP17. Yes it will render a WAV - nothing unusual there. But, you want VP17 to do what now?

I have been using Vegas since 2005 and have never encountered as many problems trying to make a cd until now.

@Bob-Ingram - Do you still want VP17 to burn a CD? The Menus to Burn a CD is in VP17. Do you not see them?
