Default Image Size and duration

Lawrence-Meakins wrote on 10/17/2020, 3:31 AM

Is there anyway in Vegas Movies Studio to set a default setting for every image you drop into time line eg PAL widescreen 16:19 and a duration of 4 seconds. Every image I drop into timeline I am currently opening and having to select the widescreen from dropdown and also shorten to 4 secs (default seems to be 5 which is touch too long) and it is really slowing me down.

Many thanks,

Lawrence

Thanks that has sorted the image length problem, anyone any ideas on how to set a preset/default image size eg PAL widescreen 16:19 as really slows me down selecting it on every image.

Did you read the "Automatically crop still images added to timeline" section in the linked Help item?

Great thanks for that tip that definitely chops them, sorry now had another question, added quite a few images without that setting to the project already and went in manually to each one and selected 16:9 but now note they have a small bar each side. With new auto crop setting (from above) when drop image there is no black bar each side, when I render will the images be same crop as strange project is setup for 16:9 PAL widescreen so strange doing that manually and having the crop option selected is behaving differently.

Pan/Crop behaves strangely at times. You will need to manually adjust each of the problem ones as they will otherwise render as you are seeing them. Try right clicking on the crop box and select Match Output Aspect.
